Clos du Calvaire

Clos du Calvaire “Pere Pape” Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
Châteauneuf-du-Pape

40% Clairette, 30% Grenache Blanc, 20% Roussanne, 10% Bourboulenc

This white blend is full-bodied and expressive with dense floral aromatics, yellow apple, citrus, peach, and white lavender. Even with such intense and expressive aromatics, the mineral core still shines through acting as an anchor to an otherwise extravagant wine experience. The palate is creamy and round with honeycomb, mint, and lime.

Points of Interest

Only 150 cases produced, this white Chateauneuf is sourced from just one hectare of 60+ year old, certified organic vines. The wine is fermented with wild yeast and aged in 600-liter demi-muid barrels, on the fine lees for 8 months. A rare gem of rich textures, balanced by lively citrus energy.
Clos du Calvaire “Père Pape” Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge
Châteauneuf-du-Pape

100% Grenache

Elegant red fruits abound with old-vine concentration and a complex array of flowers and fresh herbs like thyme. With great sapidity, the structured core is dense and layered, complimented by the wild berry fruit. The finish is long and adds notes of spice and earth. A pleasurable wine which will age for a decade or more.

Points of Interest

From extremely old vines over 70 years of age, some parcels were registered in 1905. This is the flagship wine of the estate with 100% Grenache fermented spontaneously with wild yeast and aged for 2 years in a combination of large, neutral foudre and amphora (50/50). Unfined and unfiltered, this wine exemplifies elegance and power.
