“Les Coteaux”
Chinon Rouge

100% Cabernet Franc

With a deep garnet-red color, the aromas are complex with smoked peppers, charred tobacco leaf, and wild berries. The palate is rich with voluptuous dark fruits, pepper, and earth. A noticeable acidity helps freshen the length and solidify the structure. This age-worthy structure integrates well with tannins that will soften with time and air.

Points of Interest

The name “Les Coteaux” references the fact that this special cuvée comes from hillside parcels between 200-300 feet above the valley floor. From 14 small parcels (5 Ha) in Ligré, La Roche Clermault, and Chinon, this wine is fermented with the wild yeast of the vineyards and shows a distinct character that is markedly different from the “Graviers.”
