A lively first impression opens with yellow fruits like apricot, slightly caramelized, and creamy note evoking vanilla, pastry, and white flowers. On the palate confirms the vanilla and cream notes, highlighted by preserved lime. A supple texture, both powerful and round, with elegance and freshness at the end.

Exclusively made with the Pinot Meunier grape variety, the “T” is a signature of Taillet’s name. More than 24 months on the lees, the dosage is made with a liqueur from Taillet’s 2004 harvest and is only 4.5g/L RS. 30% of the wine comes from a perpetual cuvee started in 2011. Eric is a leading producer in the Marne with a focus on biodiversity in his vineyards and is in the process of finishing his organic certification. Fermented wit native yeast, only 2,000 cases made.

Renaissance is celebrating the rebirth of the Pinot Meunier grape variety after decades of being underestimated. Its complexity and minerality is brilliant, revealing the strength of Taillet’s terroir. With 6 hectares of organically farmed estate fruit, a very small section of fruit from 6 parcels are selected for this wine. After fermentation with native yeast, the wine will rest for 6 years on the lees in bottle. Only 0.6 g/l dosage is used, only 200 cases are produced each year.

Points of Interest

From two select parcels, comprising of a total of 1.1 hectares of Pinot Meunier, this cuvée spends over 4 years on the lees after the secondary fermentation. The two parcels, Les Pierreuses and La Brusse create great balance, and only 1.5 grams of dosage are added to the final product. Practicing organic in the vineyards, and with native yeast fermentation, this small, 200 cases production highlights the great distinction Eric’s wines have to offer.

A lively impression of candied citrus and white fruits followed by more delicate truffle, mushroom, and brioche notes. On the pallet the bubbles convey dynamic freshness and bright sapidity that lingers with a distinctive truffle and brioche minerality with texture and poise. A summertime Champagne with great energy and brilliance.

Points of Interest

One of Taillet’s top cuvees from a single 0.76-hectare parcel that was once the location of a marsh. This sight is special for many reasons. Planted in 1986, Eric is experimenting with Vitiforestry by planting trees in, and around, the vineyard. He doesn’t cut the vines, as is typical, but instead braids them to reduce stress. A co-fermented expression of single terroir identity in his hometown of Baslieux Sous Chatillon.

An aromatic and vibrant first impression of red fruits like raspberries, violet flowers, and a balanced acidity with great freshness. The palate is clear and precise, with chalky minerality fit for the finest cuisine, and for casual celebrations with friends. The finish is firm and concentrated like a tart, hard candy.

Made from 100% Pinot Meunier, the wine is aged on the lees for more than 24 months before the secondary fermentation followed by another 24 months before disgorgement. The dosage is made with a liqueur from Taillet’s 2004 harvest and is only 1.5g. 20-30% of the wine comes from a perpetual cuvee started in 2011. Eric is a leading producer of Meunier in the Marne and highlights biodiversity in his farming. Fermented is with native yeast and partial oak aging for depth and complexity.

50% Pinot Meunier, 50% Chardonnay

Just released, 20 years after the harvest! A truly resplendent, gastronomic cuvee meant for elevated dishes and meaningful moments with family and friends. Lively and bright, with a strong citrus character, gradually developing a warm brioche note with pepper, nutmeg and candied almond. The palate expresses toasted notes with delict bees wax and dried floral spice. A bone-dry wine, round on the palate, and marked by a sustained finish.

One-of-a-kind, 50% Meunier aged in new 500L barrels and 50% Chardonnay in enamel tanks for 2 years on the lees. Malolactic completed. Secondary fermentation aged in the bottle for 16 years before disgorgement. Dosage is 1.5 g/L with a liqueur made by Taillet from the 2004 harvest. Disgorgement date 10/2022. 300 bottles released.
