Summary: Long ago, tribes of people known as gypsies wandered the earth searching for new towns to explore, new people to meet and new skills to acquire. Today, our “tribe” of wine professionals at Uva Imports follows in the footsteps of these adventurous gypsies, or Zingara’s as they were called in Italy. Our wanderings are focused on the discovery of the best wines from every region, small village and obscure vineyard throughout Italy. With the Zingara line we are proud to share some of our most value driven and highest quality findings from various wine regions throughout Italy. We hope that you enjoy them!  Zingara Prosecco is prepared from only the best selection of hand harvest fruit.  The vineyards are situated in the Montello hills with rich soils of clay, limestone and marl.

Vinification: The grapes were hand harvested and gently pressed.  Fermentation in steel tanks at 60 degrees Fahrenheit with automatic temperature control for 14 days.  The still wine went through secondary fermentation using the Charmat method before bottling.

Aromas & Flavors: This sparkling wine has colors of golden straw.  The bubbles are beautiful and persistent.  The wine is clean and expresses floral aromatics, crisp acidity with elegant citrus and green apple notes.

Varietal Notes:

Glera  - is Northern Italy's synonym for Processo.  For hundreds of years this green grape has been grown in regions of Veneto and Friuli.  This grape mostly produces frizzante or spumante wines.
