Grasso Fratelli logop.jpg

After decades as a chef, Giuseppe Brancatelli returned to Italy in 1999 and here, 4 miles as the crow flies from the Mediterranean Ocean, he raised a family and launched his wine brand.

AT A GLANCE

Giuseppe Brancatelli has found an ideal footing for the classic French varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, in the clay and calcareous soils of the Val de Cornia. This southwestern part of Tuscany is a testament to the success these grapes varieties can achieve. Giuseppe started in the late 1990s with virgin land near the town of Riotorto, utilizing organic methods from the beginning. With the help of enologist Graziana Grassini, the winemaker for the famous Sassicaia, the Brancatelli wines are in a class of their own! Certified organic farming.
