Boris Champy enthusiastically believes in the future of Hautes-Cotes, thanks to its altitude on a warming planet. With his neighbors, he wants to continue to raise the reputation of this lesser-known area.

AT A GLANCE

In 1984 a young visionary Didier Montchovet decided he would farm organically - therefore, his father gave him nothing to farm. Instead, he started out on his own with a small amount of leased land. In 1990 he sold his first bottle and the estate has grown to 12 hectares of certified biodynamic land – one of the very first to do so in Burgundy. Now considered a benchmark in Burgundy for organic/biodynamic production, Didier has influenced a generation and is now handing over the stewardship of his vines to Boris Champy - former estate manager for Clos des Lambrays. Didier's biodynamic farming expertise and Boris' winemaking prowess create one of the most exciting new domains in Burgundy, in the cool climates of the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. Certified biodynamic and organic.
