This side project by winemaker Françoise Roumieux, the fifth generation of winemakers at the prestigious Mayard family estate, is sourced from specific parcels in the southern Rhône valley.

AT A GLANCE

Françoise Roumieux is the 5th generation of winemakers at the prestigious Mayard family estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. With the 2016 vintage Françoise has expanded the family’s efforts with a small negociant project for the Côtes du Rhône and with the 2019 vintage, the inclusion of "Le Hurlevent" Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The family puts a strong emphasis on sustainable and organic farming practices and sources from farmers with the same respect. President of Femmes Vignes Rhône, an organization that shines a light on the women working in the Rhône valley wine industry, Françoise sources through these partners whenever possible. REGION: Uco Valley: Los Arboles, Altamira, San Carlos

ESTATE OWNERS: Alejandro Sejanovich and Jeff Mausbach

 

FARMING: Non-certified organic farming without pesticides. Only organic fertilizer and Bordeaux mixture are used in the vineyards.
