Seven generations of winemaking reveals itself with one, simple practice. At Gonet, wines slumber a minimum 3 years on the lees, well beyond the aging requirement of 15 months for Champagne.

AT A GLANCE

Founded in 1830, Champagne Philippe Gonet is located in the heart Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, next door to Salon and a few steps away from Clos du Mesnil. The 19 hectares of family vineyards are divided among 45 parcels. The average age of the vines is between 30 and 40 years with one historical parcel, located near the village entrance, planted in 1929. Chardonnay is the Gonet family’s selected grape variety with one-third of the parcels in Le Mesnil. Stunning lots in La Chapelle-Monthodon, Montgueux, and Le Breuil produce their Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Sustainable farming.
