BLACK COTTAGE
Marlborough

Pinot Noir
Southern Valleys, Marlborough
Pinot Noir
The gently rolling hills of the Southern Valleys in Marlborough offer up a Pinot Noir of distinction. The savory components highlight perfectly the ripe, crunchy dark red fruits. The aromas express black cherry and pomegranate, with forest floor, violet, and chai spice. Partial whole cluster fruit highlights the minerality at the core with pink peppercorn and crushed rock.

POINTS OF INTEREST
Sourced primarily from a single estate vineyard in the Southern Valleys of Marlborough comes this vibrant Pinot Noir made with partial whole cluster. The hillside vineyard generates more ripeness in this cool valley, and 3-6 months in French oak barrels cultivates nuance in the delicate nature of the fruit. David's experiences working in prestigious wineries in Willamette, California, and France help guide his team to fine turn these flavors.

Rosé
Southern Valleys, Marlborough
Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Syrah, Riesling
Predominately Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, this Rosé is Provencal in color, with a slight copper hue. A fresh and stylish New Zealand Rosé, full of crushed strawberries, orange blossom, watermelon rind, with a salty mineral core. Elegant and well-balanced, this wine shows undertones of tangelo, oyster shell, subtle spice, and macadamia nut. A dry finish with a pinch of salt.

POINTS OF INTEREST
Owner David Clouston spent a lot of time in southern France and Corsica making Rosé wines in the French style. This authentic New Zealand style is a dry, pink wine that showcases the cool climate and ocean air of Cloudy Bay and the Marlborough wine growing region. This is a fun blend from certified sustainable vineyards that stands out from the crowd with an individuality you will come to expect from the Black Cottage wines.
