Vandal "Pet Bat" Pét-Nat
Southern Valleys, Marlborough
60% Chardonnay 40% Muscat
The “Pet Bat” says everything we want to say about the Vandal project in a glass, fun, funky, and refreshing. The anonymity of two of the winemakers adds some mystic to these natural wines but the wine is always front and center. With aromatics of stone fruit, melon, and yeasty biscuit and bread notes, the palate opens up with a creamy texture, held together by a vivid acidity.

POINTS OF INTEREST
The fruit is sourced from the Hawkesbury Road Vineyard and is made with Chardonnay and Muscat grapes. The "Pét-Nat" style (short for Pétillant Naturel) is a term to describe a sparkling wine with a single fermentation finishing in the bottle, often times with the sediment from the process still remaining. Perfectly refreshing and energetic, this style compliments the Vandal ethos.
