LA TORRETTA
Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella VR, Italy (Veneto)

Cabernet Sauvignon
Trevenezie IGT
Cabernet Sauvignon
The world's most widely planted grape has many expressions. The La Torretta Cabernet is an unoaked, pure expression of this noble grape, letting the terroir of Italy shine through. A refreshing example with fruits like cassis, blackberry, and plum. Accents to the fruit include, violet flowers, smoked wood, hints of spice, and a mild tannin that is satisfying but reserved.

POINTS OF INTEREST
The Veneto is one of the great regions of Italy. What makes this Cabernet stand out is the simplicity. Fabrizio doesn't over-complicate the wine by adding oak or pushing for more extraction and alcohol. He let's nature do the work and produces a balanced wine, expressing all the characteristics of Cabernet without the excesses of a trendy, stylized wine.

Chardonnay
Trevenezie IGT
Chardonnay
The most widely planted white grape in the world, there are many terroirs and styles for this wine seeing a wide range of flavors. This wine is clean and unoaked with lower levels of alcohol than some, so you won't get that overbearing popcorn or buttery sensation. The fruit flavors are lively orchard fruits of pear and apple, a little spice and nuttiness and a hint of honey comb.

POINTS OF INTEREST
There are two camps for Chardonnay, oaky and buttery on one side, and a mineral, fruit driven style on the other. This is the latter. Fabrizio's focus is always to let the terroir and fruit character of the grape express what nature has provided. Alcohol, ripeness, and weight are all balanced by great farming practices and careful hand selection.
